John M. Wepler joined MarshBerry in 1991 and is Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and the largest shareholder. He is also Chief Executive Officer of MarshBerry Capital, Inc., a wholly-owned FINRA registered Broker/Dealer. John is a vital resource in the areas of organic growth management, valuation enhancement solutions, mergers and acquisitions, business planning, ownership perpetuation and financial management. He has extensive knowledge in the area of merger & acquisition advisory, having personally closed over 150 M&A transactions since joining the firm.

John is a frequent keynote speaker at national conferences, agent association meetings, insurance carrier elite meetings and executive leadership forums, including Chubb Wharton Executive Leadership Training, Selective Executive Symposiums, Bank Director Magazine investment banking conferences, SNL Financial investment banking training workshops and CIAB (Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers) conferences. He is a prolific author for leading insurance publications, including SNL Securities, Best’s Review, American Agent and Broker, National Underwriter and M&A Scoreboard Magazine.

He is an Advisor to the Board for the WBN (Worldwide Broker Network), is an Advisor to the Board of the DVIC (Disabled Veterans Insurance Careers) and serves on the Board of the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation. John is also a prior Board member of the Board of Directors for IIABNY (Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of New York).

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Ohio University and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Kent State University.

Joel Wood is in his 23rd year as senior vice president of government affairs for The Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers. Annually dubbed one of the top trade association lobbyists in Washington by “The Hill” magazine, Wood is also a regular contributor to The Council’s award-winning industry publication, Leader’s Edge. Wood spent his early career as assistant vice president of government affairs for the National Association of Professional Insurance Agents and served six years as press secretary and legislative director for Rep. Don Sundquist, R-Tenn. In 2001, following the diagnosis of his son James, Wood and his wife, Dana, established the Foundation to Eradicate Duchenne, a 501(c)3 organization which has raised tens of millions of dollars in funding for research and treatments of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, the world's most lethal childhood genetic disease. Wood is a graduate of the University of Mississippi.

Mr. Kindorf heads Madison Capital’s Insurance & Financial Services Leveraged Finance team and is focused on new business origination. Prior to joining Madison Capital, he served as Vice President in charge of Corporate Development for First Mercury Financial Corp., a publicly traded insurance carrier and MGA, where he led the company’s M&A activities. Before that, he worked for Cochran, Caronia & Co., a boutique investment bank serving the insurance industry. Mr. Kindorf earned a B.S. in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Cancellations for this program are eligible for a full refund, less a $150.00 administrative fee, if received at least 15 business days prior to the start of the program. Cancellations received after that date but at least 5 business days prior to the start of the program receive a credit in the amount of the registration fee, less a $150.00 administrative fee, to attend another Knowledge Center program within 13 months. Cancellations received fewer than 5 business days prior to the start of the program are not eligible for a refund or credit.

Attendee substitutions from the same company may be made at any time.

In the event of a cancellation from a group discount, refunds or credits are issued beginning with the most heavily discounted price, minus a $150.00 administration fee.
"No shows" - or those who cancel within 15 days of the program - and have registered under the Invoice option, remain liable for the full program fee.

The Knowledge Center reserves the right to cancel/change programs, content, speakers or venue at any time. The Knowledge Center reserves the right to make portions of the program registration information available to program sponsors. The Knowledge Center will not be held liable for any costs incurred by registrant due to individual registration cancellation. In the event that a seminar is cancelled due to inclement weather, faculty cancellation or force majeure, the Knowledge Center will refund the registrant's tuition in full, however the Knowledge Center will not be liable for incidental or consequential out of pocket expenses incurred by the registrant.
